I had to make a quick trip out of town with some co-workers a couple of days ago, and we had decided to meet at a local shopping center and ride together. I arrived and found a spot by a tree a fair distance away from the stores so as to not impede customer traffic. Rather thoughtful of me, I thought.
As I sat in my truck with the windows open enjoying the cool morning air, I began to notice the tree I was parked beside. More specifically, I became aware of the various shades of greens, yellows, and even some browns in the foliage. It was like Mother Nature was putting on her very own spring fashion show. I found this particular section of the tree that contained a variety of tones and shades, zoomed in to fill the frame with the foliage, and captured the image.
This is an unusual image for me because I took it with my phone. Image quality is certainly not as good as I would have liked and certainly not what I would have achieved with my big camera. But, as the saying goes, the best camera is the camera you have with you, and I didn’t want to pass up this opportunity.
